An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Trainee Debt Adviser to join our fantastic team at St Vincent’s.
You will be joining a small team of experienced Debt Advisers to deliver debt advice to clients.
Working Hours = You will be contracted to 37.5 hours per week working five 7.5 hour days
Location = Leeds
Contract = the role is initially fixed until 31 March 2021 with the possible extension to November 2021
Salary = £22,800
Benefits Package = 33 days holiday (pro rata) per year inclusive of bank holidays increasing to 38 days with service, competitive pension scheme, enhanced maternity pay, birthday reward, employee assistance programme, buy & sell holiday scheme and lots more.
We want people who are new to debt advice and are passionate about giving an effective service to those most in need. You will demonstrate that you can engage skillfully with clients who are vulnerable and distressed and have proven skills at working in a busy environment.
You will be a highly motivated team player with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills. You will have the ability to understand written and oral information of some complexity; good numeracy skills sufficient to compile accurate financial statements and calculate benefits; and have effective oral and written communication skills for the purposes of negotiation and reporting.
You will be trained to give advice via face-to-face, telephone, email and digital. The mix of channels will vary but is likely to consist of mostly telephone and digital at this time. You will receive project funder accredited advice-level training within 12 weeks of starting your employment, with further specialist level training to follow.
